Clare Association Dublin Martin Corry Memorial Charity Walk 2013

The Clare Association Dublin Martin Corry Memorial Charity Walk in aid of St. Josephs Secondary School Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Unit, Spanish Point took place on Sunday 20th October at 12 noon from Clasaċ (Comhaltas Centre), Alfie Byrne Road, Clontarf, Dublin 3. The charity walk was very successful and was led by Mick O'Connor and his son Darach, and by Mary Corry and family, wife of the late Martin Corry. Also present was Mary Crawford, Principal of St. Joseph's Secondary School, Spanish Point.

 Clare Association, Dublin Annual General Meeting of the Year 2013

The Annual General Meeting of The Clare Association Dublin was held in Wynn's Hotel, Lower Abbey Street, Dublin 1 on Wednesday 26th June 2013 with Mass commencing at 8 p.m. and followed by the meeting at 8:45 p.m.

Clare Person of The Year 2013

The Clare Association Dublin are pleased to announce that Clare Crusaders Children's Charity co- founder Ann Norton is Clare person of the year 2013.   Ann manages the Clare Crusaders clinic at Barefield, Ennis on a voluntary basis. The Clare Association Dublin Gathering Hall of Fame Award 2013 is Mr. P.J. Harvey of New York and Bealaha, Doonbeg. P.J. has raised funds for Clare Charities for many years.


Muintir An Chláir - Clare Association Dublin Annual Dinner Dance - Comes to Clare

To mark the year of the Gathering the Clare Association Dublin has decided to hold their Annual Dinner Dance in the Falls Hotel, Ennistymon, Co Clare on Saturday 18th May 2013. For this special occasion we are delighted that we will be entertained by the famous Kilfenora Ceili Band. The Clare Person of the Year and Hall of Fame Awards will be presented on the night.

This function precedes the start of the Fleadh Nua in Ennis that runs until the following weekend. We hope for this special night that Clare natives will have their own “Gathering” of family and friends from home and abroad to come and join them on this great occasion. The Launch of The Gathering Clare Festivals & Events Expo in Ennis

Many committee members of the Clare Association Dublin were in Ennis for The Gathering Festivals & Events Expo that was held in Glór on Sunday 27th January.  Over 100 Clare festival events organised for 2013 were showcased. The event was very well organised and entertainment was provided to the large attendance.

The Clare Association had a stand  that provided us with the opportunity to promote our event The Annual Dinner Dance that will be held in the Falls Hotel, Ennistymon, on Saturday 18th May 2013 and all are welcome.  We were very pleased with the welcome we received and we found the event to be very worthwhile.

Launch of The Clare Association Dublin Year Book 2013

The Launch of The Clare Association Dublin Year Book 2013 took place in the Addison Lodge, Botanic Road, Glasnevin Dublin 9 on Thursday 13th December 2012 at and a large gathering of Clare people came along and joined us on the night. Mr. Sean Hegarty former Clare Person of the year launched the Year Book. The Clare Year Book 2013 can be purchased from any newsagent in Co Clare or from any committee member.

 A presentation of a cheque, the proceeds from The Clare Association Dublin Martin Corry memorial charity walk that took place on Sunday 16th September 2012, in Clontarf, Dublin 3 was made to a representative from the Jack & Jill foundation on the night.
